Trees live longer and live through more hurricanes and storms when properly trimmed. Overgrowth, weak and dead limbs are removed during this process. Proper tree pruning is a rare concept in our area so we make it our number one priority.
The name speaks for itself. Tree removals always consist of complete removal of all wood, brush and debris unless otherwise requested and stated in the contract.
These techniques are a tree's BEST DEFENSE against hurricanes and strong winds. By removing excessive weight and/or opening up the tree you allow wind to pass through the tree. Without this your tree limbs can catch excess wind resulting in stress fractures and/or broken limbs.
Weather its an unstable growth pattern, storm damage or just a preventative precaution, these are excellent ways to add life to your trees. Both of these techniques add strength and security to sections and limbs.
Tree topping isn't just bad, its terrible. This is a much safer solution . Canopy reduction is the process of selectively removing growth, encouraging the tree to grow the canopy at a shorter height. It costs a little bit more and usually takes two visits to complete the process. The upside is the lack of stress to the tree. The stress and lack of nutrients from topping eventually causes trees to rot from the inside out, often unnoticed until it's too late.
Elevating a tree is the process of removing lower limbs (raising the clearance under the tree). Side Clearance is the process of trimming one or more sides of a tree. Both of these techniques are often used along roads, homes, buildings and driveways.
On this palm tree we did our standard and recommended pruning: ONLY DEAD palm fronds, seed pods and removing a row or two of "boots"
"boots" at the base of previously cut palm fronds.
We also only removed all the "boots" that we could without tearing or cutting into the trunk of the tree. Palm cannot heal wounds often leading to Fatal Ganoderma or Cavities.
Here we removed over 30 yards of Cactus and Vines. Although they can look beautiful, Vines/Cactus often cause problems. Many limbs were overloaded and lifted a few feet when relieved of the weight. Additionally vines grow faster that trees as they do not have to focus on their structure. They can grow to the top of the canopy taking sunlight away from the tree, often killing limbs or entire trees
Here we planted a row of Areca Palms to create an immediate natural privacy wall.
